The tour is smaller than quantum machines and Classiq, which together raised nearly $ 300 million, but Qedma is a younger company, and the current tour is a tour.
QEDMA is a software company that has developed algorithms that help overcame the greatest challenge in quantum computing, which is the high rate of errors in the basic computing units, or “Qubits”, whether in besieged ions, optical computers or those that use semiconductors. The high error rate, or “noise” is known in the industry, is the product of the microscopic range on which quantum operations occur.
To clarify the noise in the physical Qubits, Qedma uses a mechanism that depends on improving the measurements that are made over time, one by one, so that the computing is a little slower, but it achieves a higher level of accuracy than the average industry. IBM was for four years. Qedma performs experiments on the IBM computer, which costs millions of dollars, and is one of three companies that have accessed the IBM quantum operating system, along with the Finnish and Q-CTRL algorithm from Australia. Cooperation with IBM has now matured to investment.
Dr. Sinai, who is the CEO of Qedma, believes that the “quantum threshold”, in which Qubits will become “clean” enough for the quantum computer to be able to carry out computing tasks with a greater strength than existing computers, is closer than ever. “IBM has published a road map until 2029, other companies, such as Quantinuum, Quera and IonQ, in advanced stages of operations that will enable us to see practical quantum applications by 2030.
