Small companies in northeastern England are preparing to display their products and services to buyers from all over the world, as the government’s “UK’s offer, which has been sold to the world” will be launched this week in Bleith, Northampeland.
This event, the first of the eight planned throughout the United Kingdom, will witness approximately 100 buyers from 19 markets abroad – including South Korea, Mexico, India, Poland and Germany – with British exporters, with a special focus on clean energy companies. The Roadshow series will also visit Belfast, Edinburgh, BirMingham and Cardif, and aims to connect small companies to international markets quickly and effectively.
“Through these promotional offers, the government focuses on supporting the main growth sectors, making them faster and easier for smaller companies to communicate with markets, export and expanding opportunities,” said Gareth Thomas, Minister of Services, Small Companies and Exports.
Each Training system will focus on a different sector, where the upcoming events are allocated for advanced manufacturing, life sciences and financial services. In Bleith, along with international buyers, 30 commercial officers of embassies and consulates in the United Kingdom will be on hand to provide advice and facilitate contacts for free.
Among the attendees, Alex Marshall, Clargi Energy’s Business Director, the Gas -Working Energy Manufacturer. “The event is an excellent place to discuss the latest international trends and export opportunities for companies in the United Kingdom in the clean energy sector.”.
In addition to direct meetings, promotional offers will include workshops and seminars led by the UK Export Academy, which is backed by government, which provide practical guidance in areas such as market research and roads to the market.
Despite strong government support, modern figures indicate that small companies still face challenges when it comes to export. A study conducted in 2024 conducted by the Ministry of Business and Trade found that only 18 percent of companies exceeding 500,000 pounds considers themselves experts in export last year, a decrease from 24 percent in the previous year.
Exporters interested in participating in the upcoming promotional offers can register their attention through the official website of the Ministry of the Ministry and Trade.
