Munro EV secures £2m to scale electric 4×4 production for mining, defence and construction sectors
Scottish electric vehicle manufacturer Munro EV has secured £2 million in new investment from existing backer Elbow Beach and other investors to accelerate production of its all-electric M-Series 4x4s, designed for use in mining, defence, and construction.

Scottish Electric Oper Counter Munro EV has received 2 million pounds from the new investment from Backer Elbow Beach and other investors to accelerate the production of M-Series 4x4s from all electrical parts, designed for mining, defense and construction.

The new financing round will help its productive capacity in the company at the Glasgow facility, where up to 300 new manufacturing jobs will be created to fulfill the accumulation of 246 initial applications of customers with a value of 17.4 million pounds.

Investment is a major step in Monroe’s ambition to capture a quick -growing position in the global electrical batch: hard vehicles, all speakers capable of replacing diesel fleets in some of the most demanding industries in the world.

While electric cars have gained widespread dependence on the consumer market, industrial sectors and off -road sectors have been late. Mining alone represents 4-7 % of global carbon emissions, and its fleet is still running a overwhelming majority.

Munro’s M-Series aims to change this. The main model of the company provides 1000 kg and 170 miles from the real world domain, and is specially designed for extremist operating environments-from open mines to military test ranges.

The first vehicles were already delivered to the Gleneagles Hotel and the Denbightshire Council, and the company plans to expand up to 5,000 units annually within six years.

“This investment is valid for the need for emissions in heavy industry,” said Russell Peterson, co -founder and CEO of Munro EV.

“Mining companies, defensive interests and construction companies actively seek alternatives to diesel vehicles. M-Series provides power, durability and sustainability-without prejudice to performance.”

Peterson added that Monroe’s design is also compatible with the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense strategy, which aims to replace the Land -Rover and Benzhag vehicles with cleaner and more capable options.

He said: “The M series can we have to meet these requirements, while being more capable, quieter and cleaner. This is not a vehicle for lifestyle; it is designed from A to Z for a performance in the harshest circumstances.”

Fuel growth and innovation financing

New capital injection will be published at a value of 2 million pounds to:
• Expanding the production line capacity at the Glasgow facility
• Record engineering and additional assembly employees
• Developing vehicle variables for industry
• Development of the Monroe sales and services network across the targeted sectors

JP, co -founder and CEO of Elbow Beach, praised as a “prominent example of Scottish advanced manufacturing,” adding: “By its concentrated approach, Munro provides a capital light solution that accelerates carbon disposal with the leadership of commercial benefits with a significant for the real economy.”

Munro EV was founded in 2019, and it has placed a distinctive site in the UK fast ecosystem. Focusing on major manufacturers on passenger cars, Munro focused on low -sized and high -performance electricity altitude that meets industry, defense and emergency requirements.

It also supports the progress of the pure industrial strategic company of the Scottish government, which aims to create job opportunities and technological innovation in sustainable manufacturing.

“Our cars are designed to do hard work in difficult places,” Peterson said. “Scotland has a long heritage of excellence in engineering and manufacturing, and we are proud to build on this basis to form the next generation of electrical transportation.”
