As of the end of 2024, Intel had 4000 employees at its Kiryat GAT manufacturing factory, although this number has decreased. However, up to 800 employees in Israel can be appointed to inspect their jobs. In general, Intel 9,350 employees in Israel have in development and production centers.
“Oregon Live” estimates that the global step will reduce about 10,000 jobs from the current employees of the company to 10,000-09,000, after Intel 17,000 jobs last year. Intel still employs a greater number of competing manufacturing factories, such as TSMC and Samsung, although very profitable and low performance. The company is currently working in the midst of the re -concentration process in which it focuses more on attracting external customers such as AMD, Broadcom and Nvidia – customers who still feel worried about manufacturing in their factories. In April, Tan revealed that the Kiryat Gat factory is responsible for many major operations in the global company, such as the responsibility for making chips using 7 nm and 10 nm technology, and implementing artificial intelligence in all company factories all over the world.
“Starting this year, we have taken steps to become a smaller, faster and more efficient company. Removing organizational complexity and enabling our engineers will allow us to better serve customer needs and enhance the company’s performance. We take these decisions based on what is required to put our work for the future, and we will deal with people who respect and respect the important task.”
