The consumer price index in Israel (CPI) increased by 0.3 % in June 2025, according to the numbers issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics today. Analysts expected the consumer price index to increase by 0.1 % -0.2 %. Reading reading in June increases the annual inflation in Israel to 3.3 % from 3.1 % at the end of May, with inflation away from the upper limit of the 3 % annual target of Israel.
Price increases in June were in culture and entertainment, which increased by 1.1 %, fresh vegetables and vegetables, each increased by 0.7 %, housing maintenance, which increased by 0.5 %, transported and communications, which increased by 0.4 % each, and health that increased by 0.3 %.
The high prices in June were in clothes, which decreased by 4.5 %, fresh fruits, which decreased by 2.5 %, furniture and home equipment, which decreased by 0.4 %.
The Central Bureau of Statistics has also published a change in home prices (which is not part of the public consumer price index) between March-April 2025 and April-May 2025. On average, prices decreased by 0.3 %. This is the third consecutive month in which prices decreased, after a decrease of 0.1 % last month and 0.2 % two months ago.
In the comparison between March-2025 and March-APRIL 2024, the housing price index increased by 3.9 % while the average new housing price increased by 3.8 %.
