HM Revenue & Custicals has released the first notifications to avoid taxes to an individual, and ordered Paul Bakndel Walr, a tax lawyer and a former lawyer, to stop promoting two plans considered offensive and manufacturers by the tax authority.
In a prominent step, HMRC confirmed that these stopping notifications were characterized by the first time that requests were issued to an individual instead of a company, which confirms the government’s intention to get rid of taxes regardless of how to organize the plans.
The two arrangements, which are promoted by Mr. Baxendale-Walker, include external boxes and complex structures designed to allow users to reach their money while avoiding taxes. HMRC has evaluated it as plans without a real commercial purpose, only aimed at exploiting tax gaps.
“The courts have already concluded that Mr. Bakindel Walker designed and sold multiple taxes that do not work as they have been claimed,” said Jonathan Smith, director of meters.
The notifications were issued under the anti -avoid government framework, which is part of a broader strategy to bridge the tax gap and protect the financing of biological public services.
Tax aviation notifications are official legal orders that require the recipient to immediately stop upgrading specific plans. The failure in compliance can lead to major financial penalties or even criminal prosecution.
Mr. Baxendale-Walker, who was previously the subject of legal procedures and enforcement related to the avoidance of taxes, is now prevented from marketing or facilitating these specific planners.
The relevant plans are now added to the list of arrests of the HMRC tax, which are available to the public on GOV.UK.
HMRC calls on public and vocational advisers to report any ongoing upgrade to these plans. Anyone who realizes Mr. Baxendale-Walker is urged to market him to contact the division through his website.
Individuals who believe that they may have used a tax avoiding scheme-whether it was promoted by Baxendale-walker or others-to call HMRC immediate
This step is an important step in the constant effort of the government to combat aggressive tax planning and signals that have become individual promoters, not only companies, firm in HMRC features.
