The ESA Safety Agency has removed the warning against Israel, which it made last month during the Israel operation against Iran. A conflict zone information forecast (CZIB) has been provided, indicating a high risk of flying in the conflict zone.

CZIB was initially published on June 13 and reaffirmed on June 30 and warned against flying in the airspace of five countries: Israel, Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. According to the directive, all flights in these countries were considered dangerous, regardless of the high flight, except for the reach of Beirut by sea and under restrictive conditions.

The warning was followed by the Israeli attack on Iran, which led to the firing of missiles by Iran in Israeli targets and the United States. A ceasefire was reached on June 24, but EASA warned that the situation was fragile and could escalate again. Therefore, European airlines were notified of avoiding the region.

The warning has been in effect until yesterday. After the discussions, it was decided not to extend the warning. However, Isa emphasized that the dangers in the airspace around Israel, including areas in Sinai and the northern Saudi Arabia, are still relevant and that airlines must continue to monitor the security situation and regional developments.

Last September, Isa recommended that airlines avoid flights in the airspace Lebanon and Israel until the end of October. Then the recommendation was submitted and foreign airlines gradually returned to Israel. Among the first airlines that resumed Israeli flights, the Hungarian airlines were low -cost.

Raising the warning is positive news that foreign airlines must approach Israel. But some foreign airlines will not be in a hurry to resume Israeli flights, as transport companies have transferred their planes into other destinations for the summer season. But the Lufthansa Group (including Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian airlines, and Brussels Air and Eurinius Air Force) confirmed that it is planning to gradually resume flights to Tel Aviv from August 1. Wizz Air also explores the possibility of resuming Israel’s flights.
