Dr Rashmi Mantri, Founder Director, British Youth International College (BYITC) Supermaths

Dr. Rashmi Mantry is the director of the British Supermaths Foundation for International Youth (BYITC), a award -winning educational platform with vital vital skills through ABACUS mathematics, coding, English, and more.

What started as a task to help her son overcome mathematics anxiety, grew into a global movement that mixes innovation, access and educational excellence.

Here, Dr. Mantry, the story behind byitc, shares the power of moral and game learning, and her passion for bridging educational gaps-especially for girls-with the care of the next generation of confident and creative learners and digital students.

What is currently doing at the British International College of Youth?

In byitc, we focus on giving children the basic skills they need not only for academic success, but to grow in life. Our main program uses the ABACUS tool, which dates back to centuries with a unique format to teach students how to make complex accounts faster than the calculator. But besides improving the account, our courses also help increase mental focus, memory and problem solving.

Besides Abacus Maths, we offer a wide approach that includes English, science, coding and computing sciences and preparing an admission exam for schools and private schools-which provides an effective cost alternative to traditional private education.

We are also proud to adopt innovation. Byitc merged Olivia, the first Amnesty International Assistant in the United Kingdom, to support both learning and management. Through the online teacher training program, we prepare the next generation of teachers for confidence in the first digital classes.

We have built a culture that exceeds learning by heart. By integrating interactive games and solving problems in the real world, we look forward to creativity, critical thinking and real love for learning. Our mission is to make high -quality education easier and more comprehensive.

As part of our companies ’social responsibility efforts, we run seminars, workshops and free master’s files to expose children to new ideas and skills. BYITC Inspire Awards is an annual celebration of young talent and innovation – which realizes both students and emerging businessmen. We also offer scholarships and manage community initiatives, especially support for girls’ education.

Through our global privilege program, we have been able to think about the creation of BYITC educational centers around the world, and to provide training and full support.

What is the inspiration behind your work?

Everything started with a simple moment at home. I asked my son Dhruv, then on p. 5, “What is 13 minus 35?” – He could not answer. That moment revealed how children can conflict with foundational mathematics.

As academic, I decided to take action. DHURV was submitted to the Abacus Mental Mental method. Within six days, he was mastered – performing faster accounts than the calculator. His skills earned him the title of “Human Calculator” after appearing on large ITV shots.

The response was from other fathers. She held an open day at the Dhuv School, which quickly taught more children – and in 2015, BYITC Supermaths was born. It was my goal, and it remains, providing children with confidence and life skills – not just the results of the exam.

Who are you like?

I have great admiration for Sall Khan, founder of Khan Academy. It has made a revolution in education by making high -quality resources free and available to learners all over the world. His work proves that education can be developmental and effects when it is operated with technology and purpose.

If we look back, are there anything you would do differently?

During the epidemic, we created the first Abacus Maths in the world, which took two years to develop. If we look back, I wish we had embraced automation earlier. It would have accelerated our ability to expand and improve our systems from the beginning. However, the app has become a vital part of our growth story.

What determines your way of doing business?

Two words: ethics and innovation. We have always given priority for transparency and integrity – with our students, teachers and parents. Each decision is guided by a commitment to provide real value.

At the same time, innovation in our DNA. We were the first to develop the game-based ABACUS Learning app, which helped us to turn quickly during the Covid-19 crisis. Our platform continues to develop, with new features, games and tools of Amnesty International such as Olivia to enhance the learning experience.

The privilege helped us expand the world, but the strength of our system – building through continuous research and development – which makes this growth sustainable.

What advice will you give to someone?

Start with a problem that is deeply interested in it. Your passion will nourish your goal, your product will become a solution that moves important, not just demand in the market.

Be prepared for hard work and relapses – but I know that if you believe in your idea and staying committed, the effect may be transformed.

What do you enjoy outside the work? How to maintain a balance of work/life?

I find balance through long -distance music and walking. Both help me close and rechore. In the world of fast -paced entrepreneurship, it is necessary to protect your energy and provide space for thinking. The balance does not come from a lesser act – it comes from being intended about what matters.
