Bezeq cancels Exelera acquisition from Aluma

Bezeq Israel Telecommunications Compa Ltd. (level:Binding Withdrawal from the acquisition of the infrastructure company for the wireless communications Exlera (Tamares Tayat previously contact) from Aluma Infrastructure Fund (Tase: aluma). This comes just two months after the announcement of the signing of a memorandum of understanding (Memorandum of Understanding) to purchase the company, which owns an underwater cable that connects Israel to Europe for $ 160 million.

Bizaq said she decided to give up the deal, after her inability to “achieve the completion of the agreement.” The company added that it plans to continue “examining and enhancing the issue of new regional submarines cables.”

For Alma, which is run by Uri Yugiv (Chairman of the Board of Directors), former head of the Budget Department at the Ministry of Finance and the Director of the Government Companies Authority, this is a great disappointment. If the agreement was completed, Alma would have registered 190 % returning to its investments, in just 4 years.

Aluma was founded five years ago. It currently has four companies in its wallet: Exlera, Tibar Communication Tower and Esco ISCO ISCO, and the Environmental and Waste Prociate Company Chen Hamakum.

The box bought its shares at Exlera (formerly Tamaris Tila) from Poju Zabludowicz in 2021 and 2023 for cash and shares. Zabludowicz transactions have made the largest contributor to alummet, with a 20 % stake.

Since the beginning of the year, the Aluma share price increased by 92 %, and the stock increased by 145 % during the past year, giving a maximum market level of 252 million New.
