
The giant Stelantis, which includes its commercial brands, Jeep, Peugeot and Fiat, on Wednesday, “Antonio Filosa” as its new executive director, where the US -European Group moves in the American customs tariff and decreased North American sales.
The Italian director, who led Stelantis in North and South America, will succeed Carlos Tavares, who suddenly resigned in December.
Stelanetes said in a statement that Filaosa was unanimously chosen by the council after a “comprehensive search for internal and external candidates.”
Stelantis said that she will invite an extraordinary meeting for shareholders in the coming days to elect a Filosa to the Board of Directors to work as CEO of the company.
“At the same time, to give him a complete authority and ensure an effective transfer, the Board of Directors granted him the authorities of the CEO as of June 23,” the statement said.
“The Board of Directors chose Antonio Velaosa to be the CEO based on his record of practical success during more than 25 years in the automotive industry,” said Stelanetes.
The company also praised “the depth and experience of it all over the world, and its unmatched knowledge of the company’s recognized leadership and leadership attributes.”

Stelantis, whose other brands include Trucks, Dodge, Chryler and MASERATI, are struggled, with sales decreased in its market in the main North America.

The Portuguese CEO, who headed the French group Peugeot Citroen at the time, was appointed CEO of the newly created French -American team.
His three -year work period was characterized by high profit margins that envy its competitors in the automotive industry, but good times ended last year with a decrease in sales in the United States.
