Akamai in talks to lease 20,000-sq.m. in Givatayim tower

Akamai in the United States of America is in AKAMAI with advanced talks to rent off office area ranging from 15,000 and 20,000 square meters in the towers beyond towers in Givatayim. The tower, owned by Tidhar and George Horseh Union Group, will include 72 floors and is scheduled to be operated next year. The tower overlooks Ayalon Highway near the Tel Aviv Central Railway Station.

Akamai currently has offices in the TOHA 1 building in Yigal Alon Street in Tel Aviv, and if the conversations reach its fruits, the new area will be doubled its current office area, and provides a solution to the main expansion of the technology company in Israel. According to industry estimates, the rents in Beyond Tower are 90-100 NIS per square meter before interior design, so the deal (if signed) will be at least 18 million New annually, even before investing in the completion of work.

To date, most of the big deals were in the tower for law firms. Meitar signed an agreement to rent 30,000 square meters on 17 floors for 25 years for about 54 million New annually; Fisher FBC (located in the city of Azrieli) rented about 14,400 square meters with an expansion option, and LIPA Meir rented four floors in the tower.

There are two constellations of construction in Gevatim on the border with Tel Aviv and RAM Gan. The second tower will include apartments, which will only be useful for rent. The office building was built using the Construction Green Construction and is scheduled to get a platinum LEED standard – the highest level.

There was no response to this report from Tidhar and Akamai.
